Hellberg and the
Yuba City City Council
recently presented Dr.
Robert Peppercorn,
Dermatologist and
founder of Advanced
Dermatology and
Laser Center and the
California Institute of
Skin and Beauty, with
an Outstanding Citizen
Proclamation for his
more than 20 years of
service to Yuba City.
The proclamation
presented detailed
Peppercorns long list
of achievements and
continued commitment
to community:
• For bringing his
education to our area
in 1982 after attending

school at Harvard, Johns
Hopkins, Stanford and
the Mayo Clinic.
• Began a trend of medical
facility modernization
with his first awardwinning
building in 1987
that carried through
to his new building in
2006. Many feel that
his work began a trend
of modernization of
medical facilities that
carried on until today.
• For his employment
of more than 40 local
residents in his main
office and satellite offices
of his medical practices.
• Providing educational
services to the local City
and surrounding areas
with his Medical Explorer
TV program for 23 years,
other work on local

cable and his numerous
lectures to public service
organizations.
• For his dedication to the
young people of the area
with his support of the
Yuba-Sutter Fair, Junior
Livestock Auction, 4H
and FFA and Scholarship
competitions.
• For his past services on
Boards of the American
Cancer Society, Fremont-
Rideout Foundation,
Chairman of CPR
Saturday, Gold Country
Bank, and serving as
President of the Yuba-
Sutter-Colusa County
Medical Society
• For his major efforts to
establish a local news/
talk radio station in the
1980’s with KOBO radio.

• And for his continued
service in working for
the kids and parents at
Franklin Elementary
School where he has
served as a Board
Member for the past 6
years.
